CLA Outstanding Librarian in Support of Literacy Award, 2014 : : Natasha Casteel, Roseville Library

OUTSTANDING LIBRARIAN IN SUPPORT OF LITERACY AWARD 2014 Award Winner:
Natasha Casteel, City Librarian – Roseville Library

Natasha began her library career as a Children’s Librarian in North Carolina.  After relocating to New Hampshire, she served as Director of two libraries in her ten years there.  Later moving to New Mexico with her husband, Natasha served as Assistant Director of Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Libraries.  She led library programming and outreach, materials support services, information technology, and mobile library services.  Now settled as City Librarian in Roseville, Natasha’s areas of focus are strengthening organizational culture, building community partnerships, fostering innovation, and continuing to provide community-driven programs and services. As City Librarian, she also oversees operations of the Maidu Museum & Historic Site and works on major initiatives in the City’s Parks, Recreation & Libraries department.

This award, established in 2003 (Literacy Interest Group), recognizes and honors a librarian who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to support literacy.
