order of the City Council, September 8, 2018, has been
declared Adult Literacy Day in the City of Redlands.
Accepting the proclamation
at the September 4, 2018, City Council Meeting from Mayor Paul Foster are Diane
Shimota, Adult Literacy Coordinator, and Don McCue, Director, A.K. Smiley Public Library with learner
Crystal Moreno and her father, Sergio Moreno. Crystal is a learner who
graduated from San Bernardino Valley College this past spring. She is
attending Cal State San Bernardino (CSUSB) and plans to become a math teacher
for special needs children. WATCH
